CIA, Memorandum of Conversation of Meeting with Henry Kissinger, Thomas Karamessines, and Alexander Haig, October 15, 1970: This memcon records a discussion of promoting a coup in Chile, known as “Track II” of covert operations to block Allende. The three officials discuss the possibility that the plot of one Chilean military official, Roberto Viaux, might fail with “unfortunate repercussions” for U.S. objectives. Kissinger orders the CIA to “continue keeping the pressure on every Allende weak spot in sight.”
CIA, Report of CIA Chilean Task Force Activities, 15 September to 3 November 1970, November 18, 1970: The CIA prepared a summary of its efforts to prevent Allende’s ratification as president and to foment a coup in Chile— track I and track II covert operations. The summary details the composition of the Task Force, headed by David Atlee Phillips, the team of covert operatives “inserted individually into Chile,” and their contacts with Col. Paul Winert, the U.S. Army Attache detailed to the CIA for this operation. It reviews the propaganda operations designed to push Chilean president Eduardo Frei to support “a military coup which would prevent Allende from taking office on 3 November.”

“CIA, Operating Guidance Cable on Coup Plotting, October 16, 1970: In a secret cable, CIA deputy director of plans, Thomas Karamessines, conveys Kissinger’s orders to CIA station chief in Santiago, Henry Hecksher: “It is firm and continuing policy that Allende be overthrown by a coup.” The “operating guidance” makes it clear that these operations are to be conducted so as to hide the “American hand,” and that the CIA is to ignore any orders to the contrary from Ambassador Korry who has not been informed of Track II operations. ”

Defense Intelligence Agency, Biographic Data on General Augusto Pinochet, August/September 1973: This DIA biographic summary covers the military career of the leader of Chile’s military coup,General Augusto Pinochet. The DIA, an intelligence branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, routinely collects “Biographic Data” on all high military officials around the world. The heavy deletions are likely to conceal Chilean sources providing information on Pinochet, his own contacts with U.S. officials, and commentary on his character, reputation, political orientation and actions during his career.

Department of Defense, U.S. Milgroup, Situation Report #2, October 1, 1973: In a situation report, U.S. Naval attache Patrick Ryan, reports positively on events in Chile during the coup. He characterizes September 11 as “our D-Day,” and states that “Chile’s coup de etat [sic] was close to perfect.” His report provides details on Chilean military operations during and after the coup, as well as glowing commentary on the character of the new regime.

Hinchey Report

SUBJECT:  CIA Activities in Chile
September 18, 2000

CIA’s response to the Hinchey amendment should be viewed as a good-faith effort to respond in an unclassified format to the three questions, not as a definitive history of US activities in Chile over the past 30 years.

Summary of Response to Questions

  1. Q. All activities of officers, covert agents, and employees of all elements of the Intelligence Community   with respect to the assassination of President Salvador Allende in September 1973.
    A. We find no information-nor did the Church Committee-that CIA or the Intelligence Community was involved in the death of Chilean President Salvador Allende.  He is believed to have committed suicide as the coup leaders closed in on him.  The major CIA effort against Allende came earlier in 1970 in the failed attempt to block his election and accession to the Presidency.  Nonetheless, the US Administration’s long-standing hostility to Allende and its past encouragement of a military coup against him were well known among Chilean coup plotters who eventually took action on their own to oust him.
  2. Q. All activities of officers, covert agents, and employees of all elements of the Intelligence Community with respect to the accession of General Augusto Pinochet to the Presidency of the Republic of Chile.
    A. CIA actively supported the military Junta after the overthrow of Allende but did not assist Pinochet to assume the Presidency.  In fact, many CIA officers shared broader US reservations about Pinochet’s single-minded pursuit of power.
  3. Q. All activities of officers, covert agents, and employees of all elements of the Intelligence Community with respect to violations of human rights committed by officers or agents of former President Pinochet.
    A. Many of Pinochet’s officers were involved in systematic and widespread human rights abuses following Allende’s ouster.  Some of these were contacts or agents of the CIA or US military.  The IC followed then-current guidance for reporting such abuses and admonished its Chilean agents against such behavior.  Today’s much stricter reporting standards were not in force and, if they were, we suspect many agents would have been dropped.

Are we to blindly suppose that the CIA and Nixon/Kissinger had no plans except to destroy the Chilean democracy?
Are we to believe that General Pinochet just popped out of the woodwork and was expected to ‘protect US Interests’ in Chile?
    I do not think so.

    ____

“Support for Coup in 1970.  Under “Track II” of the strategy, CIA sought to instigate a coup to prevent Allende from taking office after he won a plurality in the 4 September election and before, as Constitutionally required because he did not win an absolute majority, the Chilean Congress reaffirmed his victory.  CIA was working with three different groups of plotters.  All three groups made it clear that any coup would require the kidnapping of Army Commander Rene Schneider, who felt deeply that the Constitution required that the Army allow Allende to assume power.  CIA agreed with that assessment.  Although CIA provided weapons to one of the groups, we have found no information that the plotters’ or CIA’s intention was for the general to be killed.  Contact with one group of plotters was dropped early on because of its extremist tendencies.  CIA provided tear gas, submachine-guns and ammunition to the second group.  The third group attempted to kidnap Schneider, mortally wounding him in the attack.  CIA had previously encouraged this group to launch a coup but withdrew support four days before the attack because, in CIA’s assessment, the group could not carry it out successfully.”

So, the CIA decided to back the Constitution of Chile!  I’m sorry but the CIA is an illegal entity in all the countries it exists except the USA.  However, the CIA is not allowed, by law, to be active in the USA, either.

This means that everything the CIA does in a covert action is ultimately illegal everywhere it operates.

To suggest that the CIA gave weapons but did not intend to kill is absurd.

What we’re seeing here is admission to the actions of the CIA (however much the deeper truths may be limited) to act as if at war in other countries for the benefit of the USA!

Benefits:

1. Strategic – by highly limited.
2. to USA corporations.  This has been of the essence of the American obsession in Latin America for a very long, long time.

There are certain aspects that the USA does not want in a foreign government in these so-called Banana Republics.

1. It does not want any government to impose labour laws in these countries as these may impinge upon the profits of these companies.
2. It does not want minimum wage laws to improve peoples’ lives as it may impinge upon the profits of these countries.
3. It does not wand land reform because it may take land away from these companies.

ie:  United Fruits/United Foods in Guatemala owned about 70% of the aerable land.  It did not allow anyone to use these lands for any type of harvesting or farming.

Even with the Freedom of Information Act in the USA the lies persist.

The truth still is a tree baren of fruit.
The plight of a democratic Chile still has little honesty as we do expect from the Freedom of Information.
Still we’re hearing lies about the cruel actions of the USA.
The people stood up and voted for reform…They’d won!
But only until the USA – Nixon/Kissinger/CIA determined to crush Chile
To crush the ordinary people of Chile that believed – falsely –
That they were a Sovereign Nation able to determine its own way.
How horribly naive with the vicious USA bent upon burning them out.
On Sept, 11   —- 1973 … freedom was taken away from Chileans.
War erupted by design by the USA…People died  and   died.

ARGO- The Big Lie Movie

Interesting that cuts from Argo have been taken out because the review doesn’t sit well with the movie creators, Hollywood or the USA. It seems that their lies should stand no matter what!

First off, the Iranian Revolution of 1979, of which a small part was the hostage taking of the Americans in their embassy in Tehran. It was big in the media but the media would rather harp on this rather than the truth of the crises in Iran created by the USA. This propaganda shows none of this.

And the Iranian Revolution of 1979 was actually started in 1953 when the USA/CIA created a coup for the Brits and the USA of a democratically elected and much welcomed government of Mosandeq.

The CIA created unrest as its done about 50 times or more since and took out the voters choice of governance and replaced it with the exiled Puppet Shah to make him, and the USA puppeteer, the dictators over Iran.

The coup also stole Iran’s oil and the USA and the UK split the oil 50/50 in a new oil company called British/American Oil -B/A.

In 1957 the CIA created the secret police called SAVAK which they used to kill dissidents in Iran. Student activists were often thrown off of their schools roofs by CIA assets/thugs. Many people were disappeared of the street never to be seen again or wrestled from their homes in the dead of night.

This became the reason for the Iranian Revolution of 1979. This is why the USA Embassy, considered inviolate in diplomatic operations but not considered so because the USA had blatantly abused Iran from the bowels of its embassy.

This is the story that the great Ben Affleck ignored. Anyone who had researched the hostage taking would know, for certain, the background that led to the hostage crises,

Therefore, Ben Affleck is lying just as his poor excuse for a movie was lying and creating a revisionist history for the lazy minds of the American/Canadian populations preferring fiction over fact and believing lies over truth.

The movie is so full of one-sided garbage it ought to be burned. Every copy and Ben, along with the others so proud of this crap, ought to stand up and apologize to Iran, all Iranians and the public that has been watching this shit.

Afghanistan – A Pawn of America

Though the popular media tells us otherwise the CIA/USA was in Afghanistan previous to the Soviet invasion of Dec. 24, 1979. Zbigniew Brzezinski has pretty much bragged about using poor Afghanis as pawns in his ‘game’ with our world. July 3, 1979 Jimmy Carter signed the first directive to promote secret aid to the factions opposed to the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul.

Though Zbigniew Brzezinski claims he did not promote Soviet intervention in Afghanistan he says that the effort was to increase the likelyhood of a Soviet invasion. Let’s not quibble! The fact is that the CIA/USA covert activities were created to do just that and the plan worked. So this, in my view, makes President Carter just one more murderer of innocent people through his game to cause war.

To quote Brzezinski, “That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it?” — “We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war.”

Now, isn’t this the mind of a sociopath? I think it is! Just think of all the innocent people who died because Brzezinski and Carter wanted the Soviets to have “their own Vietnam.” Chilling.

Presindent Carter then allowed Brzezinsk’s horrid plan to tie up the Soviets in a war and to elevate the Taliban to become the ruling faction in Afghanistan who Brzezinsk coldly refers to as “some stirred up Moslems”.

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan lasted ten long years stretching from 1979 until 1989. When the Soviets finally pulled out of this unwinable war Afghanistan fell into a period of Civil War of which the Soviets were certainly to blame but, even more so, the USA for having started such a war with absolutely no reguard for the people of Afghanistan.

The US armed and trained Mujahadeen rose up with the ousting of the Soviets to take control of Afghanistan. From 1992 to 1996 the civil war began with the resignation of President Najibullah from the government as the Mujahideen groups moved into Kabul. The civil war was fought by various factions within Afghanistan but the American armed and trained Mujahideen winning out by 1996. As with most civil wars the civilian death toll was very high and the pain throughout the focus of the war very high indeed.

Because of the Soviets and the CIA/USA Tens of thousands of civilians were killed or injured in fighting in Kabul in 1992-1993. This is obviously only a part of the massive fatalities effected through cruel design. Part of the cruel design was the creation of al-Qaeda by the CIA in the CIA offices in Washington, D.C. You can read more about this horrid endeavour in Richard Clark’s book “Against All Enemies”. According to Clark the CIA created al Qaeda with the Saudis bankrolling Osama bin Laden via the House of Saud in the Afghan war against the Soviets. A war instigated through President Jimmy Carter and Zbigniew Brzezinski with no care, what-so-ever, with regard to the people who would be killed, maimed, tortured and made homeless by this manufactured war.

It is claimed that Riyadh and Washington contributed an estimated $3.5 billion to the mujahideen to finance their war against the Soviet invasion. Today, Americans proud of the murder of Osama bin Laden, though that’s still suspect in many minds because his body was apparently disposed at sea. Obama, Clinton and a few friends were supposedly watching the whole event on a secret television channel. I say supposedly because the USA reaks with the stink of lies. And, today, so does Canada!

Here is a quote from the U.S. News & World Report ‘The Saudi Connection.’ —
“The evidence was indisputable: Saudi Arabia, America’s longtime ally and the world’s largest oil producer, had somehow become, as a senior Treasury Department official put it, ‘the epicenter’ of terrorist financing’. I think that this, along with tons of other evidence makes the USA a supporter of terror and the CIA a terrorist organization.

Interestingly a Vanity Fair magazine article of October 2003 exposed information, in a report ‘Saving the Saudis’, regarding the relationship between the Bush family, Osama bin Laden’s family, and the House of Saud. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2003/10/saving-the-saudis-200310 This article traces back to the Saudi Money-Laundering Affair beginning in 1974 and to GHW Bush in his terms as the US Ambassador to the UN from 1971 to 1973 and his term as Director of the CIA from 1976 to 1977. (I don’t know if that is a record short term.) It seems that the two powerful families had been joined at the hips for a good long time.

Some very interesting questions were asked at this time after 9/11. Since al Qaeda was an American ‘group’ since its inception and right up to 9/11 why aren’t Americans questioning this incredible truth? This being true — why do Americans believe the story of 9/11 and believe that Osama bin Laden was actually murdered by the Navy Seals? Was the question of Obama’s true nationality just a big question created to absorb people’s attention while the real stuff was ignored by the popular media? How deep and how far do these deciets really go?

At any rate we’re still fighting in Afghanistan apparently against an enemy that the USA created way back and the real sufferers are the people of Afghanistan who have been made pawns by the big world they know little about.

Miko Peled, Arrested by IDF

Published on 4 Jul 2014

Miko Peled, the Israeli author and peace activis was arrested today by Israeli occupation forces during Bil’in’s weekly demo whilst holding a photo of Mohamed Khudeir the kid who was brutally tortured, murdered and then burnt by Israeli colonists – so called “settlers.”

Nuclear Proliferation – 2

Year after year we hear the USA screeching and screaming about Nuclear Proliferation – basically a screech storm about Iran with a bit left over for North Korea. But, the US refuses to say anything about the proliferation by Israel – some 800 plus by now but it’s secret so we do not know for sure and the USA isn’t interested. It the USA isn’t interested then the corporate press isn’t interested and everyone ‘should’a just keep their mouths shut’ – yah know what I mean.

So the world keeps its mouth shut and Israel/Netanyahu and the USA/elites are happy – you’d think. No, they have to keep harassing Iran and North Korea. Netanyahu has to make a pretty picture of a cartoon bomb and hall it off to the UN complaining about Iran that DID NOT ever say to ‘wipe Israel off the map’. They said, in a Farsi venacular, ‘to wipe Zionism of the map’ which translated properly means ‘to stop the Zionists’.

And Iran is right!

Now we do know, by the evidence that Iran is not proliferating in nuclear bombs. We also know that Israel is likely proliferating and we do know that the USA is proliferating and neither will be checked.

The US Congress, just this past January decided to fund a new B61 thermalnuclear gravity bomb called (Ignorantly) “Life Extention” – as if it will keep us alive should the US or Israel decide to begin the End of Our World count down. I think we all know the real cost will sky rocket as usual.

Then there’s the 700 pound H-Bomb costing $28 million a piece. Almost twice the value as gold of the same weight.

There are two real problems here in this type of proliferation. It is not a proliferation in numbers of nuclear bombs. It is a proliferation nevertheless in power. Now to take out a site requiring two bombs of the old type you only need one. That, in clear effect, increases the arsenal by two.

The allies are finally getting warm on these issues and hopefully hot over the issues and tell the US to get its bombs that invite other bombs like nectar attracts bees. You’ve got nuclear bombs – you are a target. This is zero protection for Europe or anywhere else.

These new bombs are supposed to be ‘more accurate’ – this sounds like GHW Bush and his bs about ‘surgical bombing’ in his invasion of Iraq. Of course it’s more palatable for a population in denial. Hey, it’s brown sugar – healthy – not like white sugar.

RC

Also, PLEASE everyone. The USA DID NOT create the first nuclear bomb. It was scientists from around the western world that made up the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos It was a collection of brilliance that had this happen in the safety of the USA not under attack. So if you’re a Yankee all proud and a blow-hard get your facts straight.
