Though the popular media tells us otherwise the CIA/USA was in Afghanistan previous to the Soviet invasion of Dec. 24, 1979. Zbigniew Brzezinski has pretty much bragged about using poor Afghanis as pawns in his ‘game’ with our world. July 3, 1979 Jimmy Carter signed the first directive to promote secret aid to the factions opposed to the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul.
Though Zbigniew Brzezinski claims he did not promote Soviet intervention in Afghanistan he says that the effort was to increase the likelyhood of a Soviet invasion. Let’s not quibble! The fact is that the CIA/USA covert activities were created to do just that and the plan worked. So this, in my view, makes President Carter just one more murderer of innocent people through his game to cause war.
To quote Brzezinski, “That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it?” — “We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war.”
Now, isn’t this the mind of a sociopath? I think it is! Just think of all the innocent people who died because Brzezinski and Carter wanted the Soviets to have “their own Vietnam.” Chilling.
Presindent Carter then allowed Brzezinsk’s horrid plan to tie up the Soviets in a war and to elevate the Taliban to become the ruling faction in Afghanistan who Brzezinsk coldly refers to as “some stirred up Moslems”.
The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan lasted ten long years stretching from 1979 until 1989. When the Soviets finally pulled out of this unwinable war Afghanistan fell into a period of Civil War of which the Soviets were certainly to blame but, even more so, the USA for having started such a war with absolutely no reguard for the people of Afghanistan.
The US armed and trained Mujahadeen rose up with the ousting of the Soviets to take control of Afghanistan. From 1992 to 1996 the civil war began with the resignation of President Najibullah from the government as the Mujahideen groups moved into Kabul. The civil war was fought by various factions within Afghanistan but the American armed and trained Mujahideen winning out by 1996. As with most civil wars the civilian death toll was very high and the pain throughout the focus of the war very high indeed.
Because of the Soviets and the CIA/USA Tens of thousands of civilians were killed or injured in fighting in Kabul in 1992-1993. This is obviously only a part of the massive fatalities effected through cruel design. Part of the cruel design was the creation of al-Qaeda by the CIA in the CIA offices in Washington, D.C. You can read more about this horrid endeavour in Richard Clark’s book “Against All Enemies”. According to Clark the CIA created al Qaeda with the Saudis bankrolling Osama bin Laden via the House of Saud in the Afghan war against the Soviets. A war instigated through President Jimmy Carter and Zbigniew Brzezinski with no care, what-so-ever, with regard to the people who would be killed, maimed, tortured and made homeless by this manufactured war.
It is claimed that Riyadh and Washington contributed an estimated $3.5 billion to the mujahideen to finance their war against the Soviet invasion. Today, Americans proud of the murder of Osama bin Laden, though that’s still suspect in many minds because his body was apparently disposed at sea. Obama, Clinton and a few friends were supposedly watching the whole event on a secret television channel. I say supposedly because the USA reaks with the stink of lies. And, today, so does Canada!
Here is a quote from the U.S. News & World Report ‘The Saudi Connection.’ —
“The evidence was indisputable: Saudi Arabia, America’s longtime ally and the world’s largest oil producer, had somehow become, as a senior Treasury Department official put it, ‘the epicenter’ of terrorist financing’. I think that this, along with tons of other evidence makes the USA a supporter of terror and the CIA a terrorist organization.
Interestingly a Vanity Fair magazine article of October 2003 exposed information, in a report ‘Saving the Saudis’, regarding the relationship between the Bush family, Osama bin Laden’s family, and the House of Saud. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2003/10/saving-the-saudis-200310 This article traces back to the Saudi Money-Laundering Affair beginning in 1974 and to GHW Bush in his terms as the US Ambassador to the UN from 1971 to 1973 and his term as Director of the CIA from 1976 to 1977. (I don’t know if that is a record short term.) It seems that the two powerful families had been joined at the hips for a good long time.
Some very interesting questions were asked at this time after 9/11. Since al Qaeda was an American ‘group’ since its inception and right up to 9/11 why aren’t Americans questioning this incredible truth? This being true — why do Americans believe the story of 9/11 and believe that Osama bin Laden was actually murdered by the Navy Seals? Was the question of Obama’s true nationality just a big question created to absorb people’s attention while the real stuff was ignored by the popular media? How deep and how far do these deciets really go?
At any rate we’re still fighting in Afghanistan apparently against an enemy that the USA created way back and the real sufferers are the people of Afghanistan who have been made pawns by the big world they know little about.
